connecTel Announces Strategic Staff Changes to Support Business Goals

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, August 3, 2021— connecTel, Inc., announces a series of organizational changes to better support its clients with the latest technology solutions and top-notch service. The changes are aimed at refocusing staff expertise within connecTel’s sales and finance and administration groups.

Joe Bonino, who founded connecTel in April 2000, has served as director of finance and administration for 22 years. Bonino will remain in this role—critical to supporting and growing all three of connecTel’s companies: connecTel, Inc., connecTel Wireless, Inc., and Alpha connecTel Technologies—but will reduce his day-to-day involvement in business operations to spend more time with family and focus on other hobbies/interests.

Taking on many of these responsibilities is April Crider, who has been promoted to controller. In this position, Crider will direct the company’s accounting operations, develop and maintain financial reporting standards, and oversee both cash management and risk management for connecTel. Crider brings nearly two decades of telecommunications experience—nine of which have been with connecTel—to her new role.

Crider, who has been with connecTel for 12 years, previously served as finance and administration manager. During her time in this position, Crider says she “learned how to delegate; provide forecasting; and continuously adapt to support our ongoing growth. I’d like to thank the entire connecTel ownership team for all their support and cannot wait to begin this chapter of my career and new challenges ahead.”

Additional changes within the connecTel organization will take place in the sales group. Scott McKinney will continue to act as director of sales and sales operations. However, McKinney will shift his focus from day-to-day sales toward developing new partnerships, expanding existing partnerships, and identifying cross-company solutions for the entire connecTel family of businesses.

With this shift, Doug Dembiczak and Chris Quinet will each take on additional management responsibilities with the company. Dembiczak has been with connecTelsince 2004, holding several positions within the organization. In Dembiczak’s new role as sales manager, he will lead the entire sales team. His responsibilities will include setting objectives for the sales team, assisting in the hiring process, and working with carriers on escalations and new product engagement. Doug will also support connecTel’s master agent relationships and help with business continuity planning.

Chris Quinet has been a member of the connecTel sales team since 2019. Quintet’s promotion to solutions engineer/operations manager will expand his involvement in designing solutions for customers and in carrier product evaluations, while also taking on new responsibilities related to hiring, evaluating new technologies, and business planning. He will also manage the repair and project management team.

Of the promotions for Crider, Dembiczak, and Quinet, connecTel founder Joe Bonino said: “We are honored to have so many hardworking and dedicated employees that truly care about their careers, fellow co-workers, and our clients. And we are especially fortunate to have three individuals that want to take on added responsibilities not only to grow personally and professionally, but also so they can help connecTel grow as an organization.”
