connecTel, Inc. and connecTel Wireless, Inc. are national landline and wireless telecommunications management, consulting and brokerage firms headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our objective is to assist clients in improving their telecommunications infrastructure while reducing overall expenses. connecTel, Inc. began business in 2000 with two employees, and has grown to seventeen employees and a large network of valued partners. In addition to growing in size, connecTel has also grown tremendously in their product and service portfolio. Initially, Verizon represented a large portion of connecTel’s business. Today we represent more than 100 carriers in both the landline and wireless industries and offer services that cover the entire telecommunications spectrum.
In 2004 connecTel Wireless, Inc. was formed to deal exclusively with wireless products and services. While connecTel Wireless is similar in structure and shares a common ownership team with connecTel, they have a separate sales and customer support team to deal with the unique nuances of the wireless industry.
Alpha Communications Technologies has completed a merger with connecTel, Inc. as of January 1, 2017. The new Alpha connecTel Technologies LLC, is positioned to better serve our shared customers in this ever-changing telecommunications landscape. Hosted services, IT, premise-based PBX equipment, and traditional telecom are converging rapidly. This new entity has the resources and expertise needed to more effectively support our customer base and quickly adapt with ever-evolving technology.
connecTel, Inc. connecTel Wireless, Inc. and Alpha connecTel Techologies are privately held corporations with active owners who are fully engaged in running the companies. The two companies have been able to grow and succeed by encouraging employees to be responsive to client needs. The owners also strongly encourage and conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure employees have the most up-to-date information available in this quickly changing industry. All of this leads to a very low customer attrition rate, which contributes greatly to our success.
Our staff is the number one reason for our success. The customer support team is comprised of individuals that have a strong work ethic and a genuine concern for resolving client issues. The sales staff has many years of experience in the telecommunications industry and an in-depth knowledge of the products they sell. Both teams work closely together to ensure clients receive exceptional service and timely results. Plus, all employees attend regular training sessions and are cross-trained on other areas of the company. This training regimen allows each individual employee to understand the entire scope of a project and the customer’s needs.

Finance & Administration Manager
Scott was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where he continues to reside. Scott graduated from Duquesne University in 1991 with a degree in human resource management. He is married and has three sons and three grandchildren. Scott has been working in the telecommunications arena for almost 20 years, the last 14 of which he has served as president and a shareholder at connecTel. He runs the day-to-day sales operations, assists in negotiating carrier contracts, and manages connecTel's partner program and their consulting and auditing services.
Jerry was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in the Jeannette area of Westmoreland County. He now resides in the South Hills with his wife, Milissa, and enjoys having his son, daughter, and three grandchildren residing in the area as well. Jerry graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and the State University of New York in 1978 with a master's degree in clinical psychology. After a successful career as a property-casualty insurance agent, Jerry was bitten with the entrepreneurial bug and left his position in 1991 to start an independent telecommunications sales agency selling long-distance service. Today he is one of four shareholders of connecTel. He participates in sales activities, customer support, and day-to-day management of this growing and dynamic company.
Jeff has more than 20 successful years in the wireless arena. He held a variety of positions within the industry until he came on board at connecTel in 2003, where he is now a shareholder of both connecTel, Inc. and connecTel Wireless, Inc. He is also the president of connecTel Wireless, where he runs day-to-day operations. When Jeff is not at work, he loves spending time with his wife, Heather, and his son, Jordan, and daughter, Kylie.
Joe Bonino Jr. began working in the telecommunications industry in 1990, after graduating from Penn State University in 1989 with a degree in finance. While working full time, Joe attended the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and obtained a master's of business administration with a concentration in finance in 1996. Joe’s first job was as a financial analyst at the AT&T corporate headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ. After six years in the finance department, he then moved to a sales position in the Pittsburgh market. Joe took his sales experience with AT&T and joined Intermedia Communications in 1998 as a data sales executive. During that time he learned the telecommunications agent channel sales model and had the opportunity to start his own business in the fall of 1999, which was incorporated as connecTel, Inc. in April 2000. Joe has worked there since, and plans to continue to grow both connecTel, Inc. and connecTel Wireless, Inc. with the help of his excellent business partners.
